Jomo Mafuko
Jomo Mafoko is Division Head of Fire Management from the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources, Conservation and Tourism (MENT), Botswana. In this role he coordinates national wildland fire activities, organises and plans fire suppression activities, implements the firebreak Maintenance Project, is responsible for procurement of fire equipment and projects, implements the fire management strategy, and provides overall supervision of a large staff of 532 employees. From 2011 - 2016, Jomo was District Coordinator (Head of Districts) at Gantsi and Southern and from 2003 – 2011 was Head of the Fire Management Section in the Government of Botswana.
